BIAX Rubber Protective Tubes
The SGA type rubber protective tubes consist of an abrasion-resistant, basically grease and oil resistant rubber surface with textile braid and a spring tempered flat wire helix which also serves to limit the bending radius. Rubber protective tubes are advantageous when extreme working conditions prevail, such as high levels of dust or moisture etc. The max. production length is 10 m.
The SGB type rubber protective tubes consist of an abrasion-resistant, basically grease and oil resistant rubber surface with textile insert together with a steel mesh and spring tempered flat wire helix. The steel mesh embedded in the rubber gives this protective tube a much higher tensile strength. It is suitable for drive shafts exposed to tensile loads and high power transmission (e.g. concrete vibrators, string trimmers). The max. production length is 10 m.
BIAX Special Protective Tubes
The SKA type protective tubes consist of half round and triangular spring steel wire through which a non-aging, generally oil and acid resistant PE casing is extruded. This type of protective tube is mainly used in the automobile industry to protect the speedometer shaft. The max. production length is 25 m.
The SKB (rigid) type of protective tube consists of flat steel wire covered with non-aging, generally oil and acid resistant PE. The flat steel wire provides more rigidity and ensures the necessary strength and a long service life; as a result, it can be used in practically all application areas. This type of protective tube is made of flat steel wire when the winds are at a distance ensuring greater flexibility. All the other specifications correspond to the rigid version. The max. production length is 25 m.

The SMA type metallic protective tubes consist of a pressure and impact-resistant outer tube made of galvanised steel and a spring tempered flat wire insert. They are preferably used for drive shafts with normal demands. The max. production length is 10 m.
The SMB type splash and dustproof metallic protective tubes consist of a longitudinally running outer tube, resistant to extension and contraction, which is made of galvanised steel together with a spring tempered flat wire insert. This robust type of protective tube is used in woodworking machines, grinding machines, pipe cleaning machines etc. (required for sliding connections).
